Lastly, around 45% of Somalia’s population lives in urban areas.

Most importantly, the life expectancy in Somalia has increased from 35.4 years in 1960 to 56 years in 2019. To conclude, Somalia maintained sustained population growth despite having similar challenges as most countries on the African continent.
