For the ten years between 1950 and 1959, Uganda’s population increased gradually. From 5.1 million in 1950 to 6.5 million in 1959, the population increased. Consequently, the 1950s had a 13.9% increase in population (1950 to 1959). Furthermore, as of 2019, Uganda’s overall life expectancy is almost 63.7 years. Last but not least, almost 25% of Ugandans reside in cities.
In conclusion, although facing comparable difficulties to the majority of African nations, Uganda managed to continue population growth.
