From 1990 to 1999, Uganda’s population expanded gradually over the decade. The population increased from 17.3 million in 1990 to 22.9 million by 1999. As a result, the population increased by 32.3% throughout the 1990s (1990-1999). Uganda’s total life expectancy is approximately 63.7 years (2019). Finally, over 25% of Uganda’s population resides in metropolitan regions.

To summarize, Uganda’s population continued to expand despite facing just as many problems as most African countries.
